The Spirit of Perversion

Here is another guest blog post from my friend here in prison camp, former pastor Mickey Huff.

Clean, righteous, holy living has never been popular with the world, and it will always bring a separation between the children of God, and the children of darkness.

Ministers who have grown cold in their soul and have lost the true anointing of the Holy Ghost find they are being removed from the stewardship, not by man or some organization, but by God.

Knowing that God’s true children will not receive a compromising gospel, and not willing to give up their positions as ministers, or sell out to God, they begin to cut down on the debt that man owes to God. They no longer preach dedication, or holiness, or separation.  Instead of preaching a hundred-percent Gospel, they’ve cut it down to 60 percent, and they are being received by those who just want enough truth to sooth their conscience.  For these men knowing the word of God has said for us to:

“Preach the Word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” II Timothy 4:2

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.” I Corinthians 1:18

Children of God, never has there been such an hour that  the church has taken on the spirit of compromise. God’s spirit is truly grieved through the way the ministry has compromised with God’s Word.

In Samuel’s day there was no open vision; but in this day we have received the vision through the Sprit of God.

“Where there is no vision the people perish; but he that keepth the law, happy is he.” Proverbs 29:18

Never an hour have I seen the word of God watered down by ministers who have lost the true anointing of God. Children of God, never has there been such an hour that the church has taken on the spirit of compromise.

“Thus saith the Lord, stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, “We will not walk therein’.'” Jeremiah 6:16

I hope you enjoyed this short piece by Brother Mickey Huff.  Huff has been in the ministry 43 years, mostly around his home in Athens, Tenn. He is one of the most respected prisoners in the Atlanta Prison Camp. I featured him in my post “Second Chance.”
